Anna Onishi hails from Lake Oswego, Oregon and has lived in the Portland area her whole life. She started dancing at a young age at a local studio and trained in tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. At the age of six she began dancing competitively with her studio and later transitioned to dancing for her high school dance team. She is currently on Gonzaga University’s official hip hop dance team: The Bomb Squad and she looks forward to dancing on the team throughout college.
Anna has always been passionate about teaching dance. For the past two years, she has trained dancers in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. She loves celebrating her love of dance with other people and she is drawn to teaching. It is important to her to create a positive, nurturing environment for her students so they can make mistakes, learn, and grow. She is beyond excited to join the Artistry in Motion team and can’t wait to connect with the AIM community.
