Cassandra Pianetta is a dancer, yoga instructor, singer, and mental health therapist currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cassandra has more than 27 years of experience in dance and has trained in the following areas of movement: ballet, pom, jazz, pilates, Gyrotonix, belly dance, and Zumba.
She received extensive training at Contra Costa Ballet for 10 years and has appeared in several local productions including The Nutcracker, Clara’s Christmas Fantasy, Annie, The Soul Mirror, and Invisible to Invincible. In High School, Cassandra was a member of the Carondelet Dance Team from 2006 to 2010, where the team celebrated four undefeated seasons and received 1st Place in the Song/Pom Advanced and Intermediate categories at the USA Nationals in Anaheim CA.
Cassandra is a certified 200 HR- Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher through the School Yoga Institute. She has a passion for helping others heal their trauma by exploring and nurturing the relationship between the mind, body and soul through yoga, meditation and breathwork. Cassandra received her Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2016. Cassandra is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of CA and has a thriving private practice where she specializes in supporting children, teens and adults with anxiety, high sensitivity, depression, and relational trauma. She has also received a certification in Integrative Somatic Parts Work through the Embody Lab and is looking forward to incorporating her training in yoga and dance to help facilitate safe somatic release in the body.
Cassandra is thrilled to be on staff at AIM and is looking forward to the opportunity to share workshops related to yoga, movement, breath work and mental health with this beautiful community!
